CORI DIAZ
is a queer Latina playwright and stage manager based in New York, NY. She has had her plays workshopped with LaMama’s Experiments Play Reading Series, SheNYC Arts, LaGuardia Performing Arts Center’s Rough Draft Festival, The Tank’s LimeFest and Darkfest, The Workshop Theater, Ensemble Studio Theatre LA, Abingdon Theatre Company’s Uplift the Page Festival, The Bechdel Group, Playwrights on Park, Concord Theatricals’ Off-Off Broadway Festival, and was a finalist for the LAMBDA Literary Writers Retreat and the Stanley Drama Award. Her ten-minute play, Can You Dance The Merengue? was a finalist in the Concord Theatricals’ Off-Off Broadway Festival. She is a member of the 2026 Moxie Arts Incubator, PlayPenn’s Playwrights Cohort, a recent member of Life Jacket Theatre’s Writer’s Room and a 2025-2026 recipient of the EST Sloan commission.
